The Harbour Club Los Gigantes Canary Islands

This well known Tenerife resort occupies a distinguished spot in the town of Los Gigantes. It’s exclusive – only 60 self catering apartments; the resort is set against the spectacular backdrop of the breathtaking cliffs of Los Gigantes. Each of the apartments affords phenomenal views of the town and the crisp blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

The one and two bedroom apartments at the Harbour Club have been exquisitely decorated and there are a number of duplex apartments with private roof terraces and views as far as the island of La Gomera. Each unit has a full kitchen with all modern appliances and conveniences. The airy living room and dining area have satellite TV and DVD player. Most of the units are built around the central terraces and large outdoor swimming pool of the Harbour Club. There is also a well appointed poolside bar and a smaller children’s pool on the premises.

Apart from the popular tourist attraction of the cliffs in Los Gigantes, the town itself is great for an evening out at the modern marina. It’s one of the few towns on Tenerife where you can find excellent Canarian restaurants favoured by locals and international visitors alike. The beach at Los Gigantes is a stunning black sand beach, but if you’re looking for a more traditional golden white sandy beach, you won’t have to travel far – hire a car for the day and head south to the beaches at Playa de San Juan or a little further to the bustling tourist hot spot of Playa de las Americas.

Inland from The Harbour Club and Los Gigantes is Mount Tiede National Park. This is an extremely important ecological area of the world and the park lies over 2000 metres above sea level. It’s an interesting journey to Mount Tiede, passing through verdant green Alpine country and on to the staggeringly beautiful “lunar landscape” of the volcanic crater and peak of the mountain.
